As you can see from the Association website, we have had a sampler done of a typical section of stored film. The films that were stored at SWFTA in Plymouth, are now with Evermedia in Cheshire for digitising.
We must thank Peter Wortham (HPW’s nephew) for giving his permission for the films to be used for the benefit of the Association and the School.
It is proposed to produce CDs of the films “as they are”, but dividing them into chapters and adding only a suitable sound track to each section. We will provide a brief description of what happens in each chapter, and hope that, over a period of time, those of you, who purchase the CDs, will be able to add information and names, which can then be added to the sleeve note of subsequent issues.
We will be digitising the whole collection but, at this stage, we expect only the
“Years” to be of interest to Members. However all the films will be digitised, so if someone does want to see HPW’s “Around the World” (trips 1 & 2) then we could produce it as a “one off”.
